Our son has used his Razor E100 Electric Scooter for almost a year now, got it for his 7th birthday. He rides it a while almost every day on the street in front of our home, no long treks. It's been reliable and performs as advertised. I would guess that our son goes about as fast as someone running fast (running, not jogging), sometimes faster going downhill. The brake is a bit weak but not bad. At age 7, our son has behaved safely with it, stops and waits off the road if a car comes and no crazy stunts, so I would say it is suitable for his age, but obviously every kid has different maturity levels so parents have to judge on their own. Lots of fun, impresses his friends, and reliable.

Given to our granddaughter as a Christmas gift. She was absolutely thrilled with her pink Razor E100 Electric Scooter until she realized that it only operates for 30 minutes and must then be charged for no longer than 12 hours. A rather expensive, high maintenance toy for only 30 minutes of pleasure.

I got this Razor E100 Electric Scooter for my son and he rode it non-stop for 2 days before it broke. The motor would not engage, so I called Razor and they sent me a replacement part. After a week of waiting and 2 hours on the phone with tech support, I installed a complete new electrical system. Turned it on, still did not work! Razor said they could send me another part to install myself, but did not guarantee that it would make it work either. So, I decided to save the time and trouble and returned it for a non-electric kid powered scooter and we are much happier with it. For us, the electric version was way too much time and trouble.

Product is very easy to assemble. I would recommend the next up model for speed and for ease of use by a child. On the Razor E100 Electric Scooter you have to get it to 3MPH before the motor will start up once its started it is not very fast and has a solid rear rubber wheel compared to the air wheels on the next up model. If you do not charge for the 18 hours it doesn't last very long on first charge.

I ordered this item and in 5 days it arrived....my daughter has had the best christmas this past year and I owe alot of that to Amazon for offering this product alot cheaper and with free shipping very fast. I tried to get it at a local store and could not afford the price. So I was able to get this and spend more on my daughter. She rides every day and so do I, its lots of fun and we laugh so hard. What a way to bond. Thanks Amazon....P.S. Im returning to Nursing school and have found all my books for alot less than my bookstore plus free shipping and got them in 3 days....I will always check here FIRST.....

This was my daughters b-day gift for her 10th. We had it delivered to Florida to my in-laws so it would be there for our winter vacation. It was perfect. Here eyes lit up at the unexpected surprise. She donned the pink safety helmet we bought to go with it then took off like a shot!

The Razor E100 Electric Scooter is very sturdy and keeps a good charge. As a mother, I like that it doesn't go "too fast". I do wish the handle bars were adjustable enough to be pulled up a bit as she is tall for her age. However, my daughter doesn't seem to complain about it.

I think Razor has good product and I would recommend it! PS. Get the helmet too... it makes a parent feel better!!
